I also appreciated the inclusion of young queer puppy love portrayed in a sweet way, which made my young self feel seen. There is a surprising amount of character development crammed into this short story, and I rooted for all the main characters.Īrabelle’s Story has a great balance of light teen drama and real danger for the characters that pulls you into the severity of the main plot very quickly. Arabelle’s Story is a charming YA short story with a compelling adventure at its core and elements of budding romance.
